Days 3 and 4: Head South to get to know Córdoba

Córdoba

Córdoba is famous around the world for its Great Mosque-Cathedral, the well-known “postcard” of the city. Still, its essence lies in its narrow, picturesque streets lined with whitewashed houses, adorned with charming squares, bubbling fountains, and vibrant flower-filled patios. The ancient city center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands as a testament to the city's rich tapestry of Arab, Jewish, and Christian heritage, meticulously preserved through the ages. As the day draws to a close, immerse yourself in the vibrant cultural scene of Córdoba, learn more about the passionate art of Flamenco and experience for yourself the magic of an intimate show.

Cordoba 2

On the second day, the Great Mosque-Cathedral awaits you. Visit this imposing monument and learn why this stunning structure is renowned for its unique blend of Islamic and Christian architectural elements. Take the rest of the day to do a leisurely walk along the enchanting Calleja de las Flores, adorned with vibrant flower pots and elegant balconies. Navigate through the labyrinthine lanes of the Jewish Quarter, and eventually arriving at the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos.

Days 5 and 6: Marvel at the vibrant colours of Seville

Days 5 and 6 Marvel at vibrant colours of Seville 2

“Sevilla tiene un color especial” (Sevilla has a special colour) would say the song of Los del Río band. This 90´s hit would describe greatly the vibrant tones of Seville. The enticing charm and “magic” lie in the lively neighbourhoods, grandeur flamenco, rich tapas and, of course, the historic buildings that led it to be awarded the World Heritage designation by UNESCO.
The Cathedral, with a bell tower over 90 metres tall offers fantastic views over the entire city. Visit also the Real Alcázar, a majestic 10th-century Mudéjar palace that served as a residence for both Muslim and Catholic nobles.

The gypsy soul of Seville is its most captivating allure. Flamengo attracts, seduces, and enraptures. If your initial encounter with Flamenco in Córdoba was merely a taste, you may also enjoy a show at Tablao El Arenal. Immerse yourself in the hypnotic intensity of the guitarists, musicians, and flamenco dancers, and let the magic of Flamenco sweep you away.

Days 7 and 8: Discover Granada, Andalusia's jewel

Alhambra

Head to Granada, one of the most anticipated destinations on your journey! Discover the city’s vibrant energy in its lively plazas, old-fashioned tapas bars, monumental churches, and flamenco rhythms that fill the air. Rich in UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Granada is characterized by cobbled streets, fountains, and viewpoints.

The unmissable Alhambra is the crown jewel of Andalusia! This World Heritage Site is a hilltop palace and fortress complex, renowned for its stunning Islamic architecture, intricate tile work, and beautiful gardens. You will have the opportunity to discover its historical and artistic value, as well as its legends and myths, with the help of a local guide.

If there is time left, embark on an enchanting journey through the Albaicin quarter, where every corner reveals a new wonder. Ascend to the Mirador de San Nicolás for breathtaking views of the majestic Alhambra and Sierra Nevada mountains, and visit the historic Arab baths.

Days 9 and 10: Making your way back to Madrid

Madrid Cibelles

Back in Madrid, take the opportunity to further explore the city. Start at the Plaza de Colón, the square named after Christopher Columbus. Here you will see a huge monument of the explorer and the largest flag in Spain. From there, move on to the Puerta de Alcalá, an enormous monument with three arches, which, until the end of the 19th century, was the entry point to Madrid for those arriving from Alcalá de Henares in the East. To get to the center of the city, pass through the Plaza Cibeles, where you will find the famous fountain and the grandiose Palacio de Comunicaciones, from where you will get a wonderful panoramic view.
